Solaris のホームディレクトリはなぜ /export/home なのか

Sun が言っていた "The network is the computer" を推し進めた結果らしい。

自分が使っていたときは真っ先に /export/home (autofs) を解除してました。
Sun の思想についていけてなかったんだなあ。
